Traffic Restrictions in New Delhi for PM Modi’s Kartavya Bhavan Inauguration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new Kartavya Bhavan building on Wednesday, August 6, at 6:30 pm. Due to the event, traffic restrictions will be in place in several areas of New Delhi.

Affected Areas

The following areas may experience traffic congestion ¹:

  • Rajendra Prasad Road
  • Maulana Azad Road
  • Man Singh Road
  • Janpath
  • Rafi Marg
  • Sansad Marg
  • Motilal Nehru Marg
  • C-Hexagon

Traffic Arrangements

To manage the traffic, the Delhi Traffic Police have deployed:

  • Additional Personnel: Extra police personnel, traffic bikes, and cranes have been stationed in the area.
  • Special Parking: A special parking arrangement has been made for Members of Parliament, their secretaries, and other senior officials behind Vigyan Bhawan.

Advisory

Citizens are advised to avoid the mentioned areas to minimize inconvenience. The traffic restrictions are expected to cause heavy traffic due to the movement of dignitaries, government officials, and invitees. The Delhi Traffic Police have made special arrangements to ensure smooth vehicular flow in the area ¹.
