Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan condoles demise of Malayalam writer, scholar Prof MK SanuRead more

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed deep sorrow over the passing of eminent Malayalam writer, literary critic, and scholar Prof MK Sanu. The CM offered heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and described Prof Sanu’s death as a great loss to Kerala’s cultural and literary landscape.

In a statement, CM Vijayan said Prof Sanu was a towering intellectual who made significant contributions to Malayalam literature, education, and social reform. His scholarly works and literary criticism had left a lasting impact on generations of readers and writers in Kerala.

Prof MK Sanu, known for his deep knowledge of literature and his progressive thoughts, was also a respected teacher and public intellectual. He authored several acclaimed books and was honored with numerous awards throughout his lifetime for his contributions to language and society.

The Chief Minister noted that Prof Sanu’s demise leaves a void that cannot be easily filled and added that his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
